This week, we are finalising our preparations for the first in a series of management development workshops covering training skills for a key client’s product support managers. The Workshop will be split into two parts – two days and three days with a six-week period of consolidation between the two. The two day Workshop will look at the theory of learning (how and why people learn, why they sometimes don’t. Part two covers training delivery best practice and how to measure the success of training.

An established career-counselling service, based in the UK has asked us to provide a ‘one-page’ summary for each of our most sought-after workshops with a view of integrating them into their client offer. These will include: Coaching and Developing Staff; Leadership and Management; Presenting Effectively; Business Writing Skills; Assertiveness and Prioritising your Day.

Workshop: Leading from Within – The X Factor

Target audience: Those new to the role of manager or those who have had no formal training as managers

Audience size: 4

Duration: Two days

The ‘Stepping into Management’ series of workshops that began in January 2011 finishes soon. In this final Workshop, we look at the impact an individual manager has on the team around them, and the core principles of good management needed to be successful in the role. We also use this event to recap on the key messages from the previously attended workshops.

Workshop: Assessment and Coaching Skills

Target audience: Those responsible for formally assessing and coaching staff and/or colleagues at work.

Audience size: 4

Duration: Two days

The Workshop includes practical hands-on experience with the client’s on-line assessment tool. This is complemented by a discussion-based workshop covering the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours of the successful coach.

The final session includes the construction of a personal action-plan.
